Description:Yellow to brown-yellow clear liquid.Oxytetracycline is a
broad spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic action against a large
number of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. The bacteriostatic
effect is based on the inhibition of the synthesis of bacterial proteins.
Indications: To treat infectious diseases caused by gram positive and
gram negative bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline in cases of
respiratory, intestinal, dermatological genitourinary and septicemic
infections in equine, cattle, sheep, goat, swine and dog.
Dosage and Administration: For intramuscular or subcutaneous
administration.General: 1 ml. Per10kgbody weight. This dosage can be
repeated after 48 hours when necessary.Do not administer more than 20 ml
in cattle, more than 10 ml in swine and more than 5 ml in calves, goats
and sheep per injection site.Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to
tetracyclines. Administration to animals with a
serious impaired renal
and/or liver function. Concurrent administration with penicillins,
cephalosporines, quinolones and cycloserine.Side Effects: After
intramuscular administration local reactions can occur, which disappear
in a few days. Discoloration of teeth in young animals. Hypersensitivity
reactions.
Withdrawal Time: Meat:
28 days; milk 7 days.
Keep out of the touch of children, and dry place, avoid sunlight and
light.
